Dear sailors and coaches,

 

Due to the current public health situation and restrictions, Vilamoura Sailing had to be creative to in order to imagine a different opening ceremony for the Laser 4.7 Youth European Championship 2020.

 

We couldn’t have a walking parade around our beautiful Marina de Vilamoura, so we will organize a floating parade.

 

On the 15th August, after the practice race, when the fleet is coming ashore, we will set a small welcome committee in the Marina de Vilamoura main pier.

 

We will have on the Pier a Speaker, photographer and Video crew.

 

We would like to ask the sailors and coaches:

1. Please bring your country flags, as many as you can and display them on your boats

2. Group per Country before coming into the Marina bay,

3. Group up when passing in front of the Main Pier.

We will promise good music and super photos.

 

It’s a new reality and we need to be creative.
